On May 29, 2024, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, took part in the Third Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs “Central Asia – Italy” in the C5+1 format, which took place in Rome.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Italy in the political, economic, trade, water and energy, environmental, transport, tourism and educational spheres, and also exchanged views on burning topics of regional and international cooperation, including current threats and the challenges, the situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East.

On the eve of this meeting, separate thematic sessions were held on issues of water and energy, transport and education, in which representatives of the country participated.

On March 14, 2024, a briefing was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affair of the Republic of Tajikistan with participation of the Co-Chair of the International Advisory Committee of the Dushanbe Water Process, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, Sulton Rahimzoda, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ismatullo Nasredin, and the Resident Representative of the UNDP in Tajikistan, Lenni Montiel. The briefing focused on the preparation process for the Third Dushanbe Water Conference.

During the briefing, it was noted that this Сonference aims to accelerate actions and strengthen cooperation between countries and other stakeholders to contribute to the implementation of internationally agreed water-related goals and targets, including Sustainable Development Goals 6 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Participants were provided with detailed information about the program of the Third International High-Level Conference on the International Decade of Action “Water for Sustainable Development” 2018-2028, which includes interactive dialogues, forums and cultural events.

No: 110, 22 April 2023, Press Release Regarding the Assistance to Repatriation of Our Citizens and Nationals of Third Countries
Since the eruption of the clashes between Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces on 15 April 2023, our main priority has been to ensure the safety of our citizens and Embassy personnel as well as to respond to the requests for help.

Our President and our Minister raised the matter of safe repatriation of our citizens residing in Sudan in their respective contacts with their Sudanese counterparts and third countries. The necessary preparations were carried out in coordination with our Embassy in Khartoum and our Ministry.

 

 

 

 

Following our security assessment, we have decided to repatriate our citizens, on 23 April especially from conflict areas by land to Türkiye through a third country. Moreover, third country nationals who have asked for assistance have also been included in our planning.

Our citizens who have asked for repatriation are being informed through the social media accounts of our Embassy and Ministry as well as the contact information of our citizens who have registered until today.
