On 21 September 2023, on the margins of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the Informal Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

 

 

 

 

During his speech, Minister Muhriddin noted that throughout the period of its existence, CICA has proved itself as an effective and promising mechanism of multidimensional collaboration, facilitating confidence building measures, good neighborliness and constructive approaches to address contemporary challenges.

 

 

 

 

The Minister also emphasized the importance of Tajikistan’s global initiatives in the field of water and climate and invited CICA member states to take an active part in the Third High-Level Conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” to held in Dushanbe in June 2024.
