On 12 September 2023, in Jeddah, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Akram Karimi met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein Brahim Taha.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues of mutual concern, as well as topical international and regional matters.

On 31 July 2023, there was held the 18th Extraordinary Virtual Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the desecration and burning of copies of Quran.

 

 

 

 

 

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Farhod Salim represented the Republic of Tajikistan at the session.

 

 

 

 

 

The Deputy Minister noted that the Quran’s message of peace, compassion and tolerance and its emphasis on learning, knowledge and science, are of outmost necessity for entire humanity at all times.
