Asfa Holding Board Chairman, Philanthropist and Businessman Asaf Atasoy, published a Celebration message on the occasion of Hıdırellez Holiday.

Asfa Holding Board Chairman Asaf Atasoy included the following statements in his message;

Hıdırellez Festival is one of our most beautiful and meaningful traditions, celebrated with joy and enthusiasm in our country as well as in the Turkish World, due to the arrival of spring and the revival of nature after the cold winter days.

Hıdırellez, which our beloved nation living in harmony with nature has been celebrating for centuries in order to strengthen friendship and brotherhood, is a means for our citizens to come together and increase our social peace.

Just like Nevruz, Hıdırellez, which is celebrated by different cultures regardless of language, religion and race, and is based on the understanding of tolerance and cooperation, is among our traditions that can contribute to world peace.

This deep-rooted tradition, which dates back to Mesopotamia and Central Asia, is one of our most important cultural heritages that must be preserved and passed on to future generations without losing its essence.

I think that peace and tranquility in the world will be much better as long as there is tolerance between civilizations and cultures. I wish that the Hıdırellez Festival, which strengthens friendship and brotherhood and reminds us of the love of nature, will bring health, happiness, peace, profit and luck to all my fellow citizens. On November 25, 2024, on the occasion of the National Flag Day, a solemn event was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event began with the performance by Tajik diplomats of the national anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan and the demonstration of the national flag, and then the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin made a speech about the historical significance of the national flag, which symbolizes good luck and independence, the indestructible unity of all classes of society, friendship, equality, and steadfastness for the prosperity of our beloved Motherland.

Continuing his speech, S. Muhriddin emphasized to the Tajik diplomats: “During international negotiations and meetings, we must realize with pride and national identity and a high sense of responsibility that we represent Tajikistan under the national flag. Every time the national flag is raised in honor of the victories of the athletes of Tajikistan, all residents of the country and Tajiks abroad are proud and inspired by a sense of patriotism.”

It was emphasized that, along with other sacred national symbols, paying tribute to the state flag and showing respect for it is the conscientious duty of every citizen of Tajikistan and every Tajik. “The state flag is a symbol of the state’s survival, unity and solidarity, national identity, and the best means of educating adolescents and young people in the spirit of pride in national statehood and the preservation of the historical and cultural values ​​of the Tajiks,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan concluded.

On May 22, 2024, at the UN Headquarters, the member states celebrated the first World Football Day, the initiative which was proposed by the President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) H.E. Rustam Emomali, and adopted through UN General Assembly Resolution No. A/RES/78/281. This historic event was organized by the Permanent missions of Tajikistan, Bahrain, and Libya to the UN as are main co-sponsors of the resolution.

The event was opened by the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations, Mr. Jonibek Hikmat.

Mr. J. Hikmat urged UN member states to harness the power of football to unite, inspire, invest in the sport’s potential and infrastructure, ensure broad access of the population, support coaches on the field, and train future stars.

Following the official part of the event, a mini-football tournament was held at the UN headquarters, with the participation of four groups representing Asia, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. The opening ceremony of a mini-football tournament was inaugurated by the President of UNGA Mr. Dennis Francis.

On March 13, 2024 with the initiative of the “Society Magazin” in cooperation with diplomatic missions of the countries traditionally celebrating Navruz, including Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan the International Day of Navruz was celebrated in Vienna.

At the event, the participating countries decorated their national stalls, among which the stall of the Republic of Tajikistan was prepared with delicious Navruz food and sweets, haft sins and haft shins, as well as ancient folk handicrafts.

A solemn event was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the State of Kuwait on the occasion of the Constitution Day, the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan.

 

 

 

Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait Zubaidzoda Zubaidullo during his speech congratulated the audience on these significant holidays and emphasized the importance of the historical document, achievements of Tajikistan during the period of Independence and the role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon in establishing peace and stability, national unity and socio-economic development.

At the same time, the State Flag Day was celebrated at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

 

 

 

The Ambassador Khairullo Ibodzoda opened the event and during his speech he noted that the State Flag inspires all Tajikistanis to be proud of their state and statehood, to strengthen national independence, to protect its achievements and, above all, promote national unity and continuous progress for the prosperity of their homeland.

On 28 September 2023, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva solemnly celebrated the 32nd Anniversary of the country’s State Independence.

 

 

 

 

In his speech, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Mr. Sharaf Sheralizoda drew the attention of guests to the importance of independence and protection of its values, the achievements of the Tajikistan’s independence era, as well as to the prospects and comprehensive cooperation of Tajikistan with international organizations and Swiss Confederation.

Heads of international organizations and diplomatic missions in Geneva were presented at the event.

 

 

 

 

At the festive reception the folk crafts, achievements of Tajikistan during the period of independence, photographs, beautiful landscapes of the country, books of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon dedicated to the history and culture of Tajiks, as well as Tajik national arts, including national clothing and musical instruments have been presented.
